Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to plumbing work carried out by TSPD Plumbing ("we", "us") for domestic customers ("you"), and to your use of this website. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
1. Quotes and estimates
We will explain the likely work and cost before starting. A quote is a fixed price for the work described; an estimate is our best guide where the full extent of the job cannot be known until work begins. If we find something unexpected that changes the price, we will tell you and get your agreement before continuing.
2. Call-out
We do not charge a call-out fee. You pay only for the labour and materials for the work carried out, as agreed with you.
3. Materials
Materials we supply remain our property until paid for. If you supply your own parts or appliances, we are not responsible for their quality or suitability, only for our workmanship in fitting them.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion unless otherwise agreed in writing. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit or stage payments, which will be agreed before work starts. Third-party costs we arrange on your behalf, such as scaffolding, will be included in your quote.
5. Access and your responsibilities
Please give us safe, reasonable access to the work area and to the water supply and stopcock, and tell us about any known hazards, including the presence of asbestos.
6. Cancellation
If you agree to work away from our premises (for example in your home), you normally have 14 days to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you ask us to start work within that period — including all emergency work — you may have to pay for work already carried out.
7. Workmanship and complaints
We carry out all work with reasonable care and skill. If you are unhappy with any work, contact us promptly via the contact form or on 07736 358103 and give us the opportunity to put it right.
8. Liability
We are fully insured. We are not liable for pre-existing faults, for damage caused by concealed defects we could not reasonably have known about, or for losses that were not foreseeable. We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or for anything that cannot be excluded by law.
9. Website use
Information on this website is general guidance and not a substitute for an on-site inspection. Content, logo and images belong to TSPD Plumbing and may not be reused without permission.
10. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
