What we collect
- Enquiry details you give us through the website form, by phone, text, WhatsApp or email: your name, phone number, email address, area/postcode, the service you need and any details or photos about the job.
- Job and billing records if you go ahead with work: your address, the work carried out and payments.
- Technical data: our hosting provider automatically records basic server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and to keep the site running.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote (legal basis: steps prior to entering a contract, at your request).
- To carry out and invoice work (contract).
- To keep records required for tax and accounting (legal obligation).
- To keep the website secure and prevent spam (legitimate interests).
We do not sell your data, and we do not send marketing messages unless you have asked us to.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers we need to run the business, who process it on our behalf: our website host (Vercel Inc.), our email delivery provider for website enquiries (Resend), and our email provider (Google). Some of these providers may process data outside the UK under appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or adequacy regulations. We may also share information with our accountant or where required by law.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to work are deleted within 12 months. Job and billing records are kept for six years to meet tax requirements.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict how we use it, and to data portability. To use any of these rights, contact us via the contact form. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
